Mauk van Emmerik is a socially oriented creative with a background in photography and filmmaking. In his work, Mauk enjoys a balance of social- and commercial practices. In Mauk’s self-initiated works he uses his skills in art direction to shed light on stories that otherwise remain untold. By approaching his projects with sensitivity and care he offers insight into social issues that are easily overlooked.

In doing so, encouraging people to self-reflect and start a dialogue.
